Prune quality must be supported by evidence.
B2B quality is not a broad claim. It is a set of agreed product parameters, batch checks and documents that the buyer can use in their procurement system.

Direct answer
How do we review a quality requirement?
The buyer states the product, destination market, technical parameters and required documents in the RFQ. Before quoting, we review what can be confirmed for the available batch and include that agreement in the specification.

Evidence to define before ordering
Certificates and laboratory analyses will be published after documentary verification. Until then, this website does not assign unsupported marks to the product.
| Area | What needs to be defined |
|---|---|
| Product identity | Format, origin and available batch |
| Physical parameters | Grade, moisture, texture and tolerances |
| Chemical requirements | SO₂ and other buyer-prescribed parameters |
| Microbiology and analyses | Required scope and acceptance limits |
| Packaging and label | Material, net weight, language and mandatory information |
| Documentation | Certificates and export documents relevant to the market |
Direct answer
Do prunes contain sulphur dioxide?
Prunes may or may not contain sulphur dioxide and sulphites E220–E228. In the European Union, dried prunes have a maximum of 2,000 mg/kg expressed as total SO₂ from all sources. A concentration above 10 mg/kg must be declared as an allergen. The actual batch value requires laboratory evidence.

Sulphur dioxide: limits and practical impact
The legal maximum is not a target specification or proof about a specific product. The buyer sets an acceptable limit, while the actual SANFRUT batch value can be stated only when supported by the appropriate laboratory result.
| Item | Value | Regulation or consequence |
|---|---|---|
| EU maximum for dried prunes | 2,000 mg/kg | E220–E228; Reg. (EC) 1333/2008, Annex II |
| Allergen declaration threshold | Above 10 mg/kg | Reg. (EU) 1169/2011 |
| How the limit is expressed | Total SO₂ from all sources | Maximum applies to the total quantity |
| SANFRUT batch value | Not publicly confirmed | Requires a laboratory result for the specific batch |
| Organic claim | Not confirmed | Do not use without a valid certificate and recipe review |
